The Department of Animal Health has given the go-ahead to the Vo Van Sanh Ornamental Fish Farm in district 9, the Chau Tong Ornamental Fish Farm in district 12, and the Sai Gon Ornamental Fish Company in Cu Chi district to export to the US.

FISHVIET stage 1 is an ornamental fish database project of Nong Lam University in cooperation with HCMC Department of Science and Technology and HCMC Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. The principal investigator of FISHVIET and AQUAVIET is Dr. Vu Cam Luong, a lecturer of NLU.
